Graffe Quartet were honoured to play at the ceremony during which Vaclav Havel, a dramatist and then the President of the Czech Republic, obtained a doctorate honoris causa from the Janacek Academy of Music Arts. On this occasion, they performed the Janacek String Quartet No 1.
